August Moon

3am on an August morning.  The moon from Prawle point, reflects onto a boundless sea. The calm of the day extended into night, across the waters mirror, out to heavens gate.

Summer Clouds

Finishing "August Moon" then falling asleep without wishing to disturb the painting, I awoke early the following morning to lazy summer clouds hanging watchful over East Prawle; patient, waiting for change, giving this moment to the canvas.
