This site was created using the free KompoZer Web Authoring software (a bit buggy but it works) from
http://kompozer.net/
uploaded & maintained using the free Filezilla open source sftp/fpt client (seems solid) from http://sourceforge.net/ or http://filezilla-project.org/
using the free Firefox web browser (still using IE? try this instead) http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
All 3 are available as portable versions from http://portableapps.com/ proving it is possible to run an entire free web development environment from a USB stick. Even the USB stick was free.
The fantastic freeware image viewer, Irfan View, was also used http://www.irfanview.com/ - software so good that the Waterdell Webmaster even registered his copy. Irfan also runs as a portable app.
All pages on this site have been checked using the free on-line W3C Markup Validation Service http://validator.w3.org/ - as all pages on all sites should be.
